Porter’s Bar-b-que was established in 2013 by Bryan Porter in Marina, CA in Monterey County. Bar-b-que style cooking has been a passion for Bryan since he was old enough to cook. Over the years there were opportunities to learn and grow in cooking, and many people enjoyed the fruits of his labor! Bryan was encouraged because his bar-b-que was always so tasty; it eventually became a business interest for him.
Bryan was a welder by trade and fabricated his own mobile bar-b-que rotisserie. As he learned about the aspects of doing business he attended a California Bar-b-que Association competition cooking class in San Jose, CA. His focus is on ribs, tri-tip, brisket, and pulled pork, but he can bar-b-que any type of meat (and vegetables). He catered his first birthday party, church picnic, and two bar-b-que events in 2013. At the “Blazin’ Hogs” event in Mariposa he placed 3rd in their tri-tip category.
